I grew up in the Tualatin Valley of Oregon. Our original farmstead on Cornelius Pass Road made us neighbors to what is now the McMennamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse. My grandparents lived 100 yards from our front door, growing up that way is something I cherish now more than ever. I can remember late nights playing in grain trucks and whole summers spent wondering the property between our house and my Grandma's. When Fujitsu approached my grandfather Amos to purchase our farm my parents made the choice to move to a proper neighborhood (Sunset Downs) not far from the original farm. My Grandparents moved the farm to our current location and home out on Rood Bridge Rd. I enjoyed the company living in a neighborhood afforded but a farm girl I'd always be. When my children were born, I knew I wanted them to grow up the way I did. It took ten years and a ton of faith, but we made half of the farm ours in April of 2021. Even though my Dad doesn't currently live on the property my kids see him each day as he runs the business his parents created almost six decades ago. I couldn't be more excited for this life we're living and am sure my grandparents are watching over us with pride.
Through the years I watched my family and our business interact with our community: giving back through charitable tree sales for Farmington View Elementary School's Booster club, this sale continues now and will into the future. My Grandpa Amos' service to the Kiwana's Club, serving throughout the year and each 4th of July at the Pancake Breakfast - a memory I love to share when I take my kids to the current day breakfast and parade. To this day I will run into Hillsboro natives who tell me they picked strawberries for my grandparents in the 1960's, nothing makes me happier than continuing to live the legacy Amos and Janet left for us.
Our family has been growing here for a century and my only hope is to be a successful and productive chapter in our family's story.
We are proud to grow quality products for our community and we look forward to meeting you at the farm sometime soon!
